Training is an important part of the culture within Continuum and that lead us to create “The Academy”. We work with both internal specialists and external partners to design a set of development programmes to provide consistency and development opportunities across the business which allow our team members to build up their own unique personal development portfolio

Learning & Development

Our approach to learning is varied and covers everything from learning from experience, skills sharing, connecting with the experts within the business and 1:1 coaching, to attending internal workshop session and management skills programmes. We also offer innovative online learning, and for some roles, the option to study for formal qualifications.

What is the talent blueprint? The talent blueprint is our internal succession plan to develop the leaders of the future. We cover various aspects of what we believe makes a great leader and look at the skills behind leadership. From coaching others to commercial acumen this is your pathway to the next level of your career.

A Warm Welcome

Your first introduction to the company is vitally important.

Our hourly team receive their welcome alongside any other new team members at their attraction. This provides opportunity to build relationships with their team and managers. We also integrate the warm welcome with role based training to ensure our team are comfortable and supported as they join the business.

Our salaried team are invited to join our virtual Warm Welcome which provides a networking opportunity for salaried team across our portfolio of attractions. Our People Team introduce the company values and strategy, key members of the Support Team and the benefits available.

Guest Engagement

Our guests are at the heart of everything we do. We take time to empower our teams to interact with all our guests to help them create memories and have an outstanding experience at any of our attractions. Our Guest Engagement programme is designed as coaching cards covering over 20 topics. This allows our team to develop their skills in a fun and entertaining way unique to their own development areas.

Understanding People

Our team are our most important asset and through a bespoke package of modules we help our managers inspire and motivate. We also use the programme to develop our new managers and to continually upskill our existing manages so that we have leadership team who are confident in dealing with those tricky situations that happen.
